Missions

The Mission:
We believe our mission is to glorify God by equipping His people to change their local, regional, and world by raising up/sending workers to the harvest fields of the world and planting churches with a world-changing vision.

How Can We Accomplish This?

We will help God's people discover their individual gifts and callings and then create an environment where these giftings and callings may be developed. We will prepare them to be salt and light in their neighborhoods, their work place, their community and the world. Our Home Groups (house churches) are designed to allow this goal to be accomplished.

We will help people build loving relationships, strong marriages and families where people can fulfillment and expression regardless of age or marital status.

We will assist, train, prepare, and support individuals, couples, and families to "go make disciples of all nations" both domestically and overseas.

We will focus on and highlight missions at every opportunity.

The Plan (2000 - 2010)
We see a church filled and empowered by the passion of Jesus, people who love Him like the Father loves Him. We see a church that aggressively pursues the advancement of the kingdom on every front and in every place, unashamed of the gospel and dedicated to sharing it all over the earth. We see a church that has learned that "He is able to do exceedingly abundantly more than they ask or imagine, according to the power at work in them". We see a church whose greatest joy is to bring Him glory.

Domestic Church Planting:
Our goal as a church is to plant one church every 4 years until 2008 and one a year afterwards.  Check out our current church plants and how you can make a difference for the Kingdom click here

Foreign Church Planting:
We will work in conjunction with the Vineyard Missions International. Our current focus is in Nicaragua Nicaragua Partnership Web Site

Missions work/Short Term Missions Trips:

Our vision for planting ethnic churches is not only international, but United States focused as well. We want to teach people about the Kingdom of God, Words and works of Jesus, discipleship and leadership development, compassion, social justice, and church planting movements.
We see teams from Open Door Vineyard going into areas that God has called us to as missionaries to accomplish this vision. It is as important to see the manifestation of the Kingdom of God here as it is in other nations.
Some of us will move to neighborhoods where God leads us to minister. Others will go for short periods, hours, days, or extended periods of time. Crossing borders is not the issue, obeying God is.  Pray about what God wants you to do.

Youth & Young Adults

We want to give the Youth the opportunity to be equipped, empowered and used to touch the nations. It is our desire that through our trips students would get God's heart for all people, a bigger world view and see that God can use them anywhere. We want to learn to be a generous people.
Currently we are focusing our trips on a couple of countries, to build relationships and make a greater impact. These countries are Mexico and Nicaragua. We will occasionally take trips to other countries to bless churches and broaden our vision.
